Bharti Airtel Announces Q1 Results

Bharti Airtel Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007:

The Company has posted a net profit after tax of Rs 14129.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 8143.80 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Revenue has increased from Rs 37005.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 56914.50 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Consolidated results as per Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) are as follows:

The Group has posted a profit for the period of Rs 14242.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 8313.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Income has increased from Rs 38154.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 58735.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The Consolidated results as per United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) are as follows:

The Group has posted a net income of Rs 15116.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 7550.90 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total Revenues has increased from Rs 38563.60 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 to Rs 59046.00 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2007.
