KOLKATA: BOC India, which is now a part of The Linde Group, has reported a 40% drop in net profit to Rs 7.1 crore in the second quarter of 2007-08, compared with Rs 11.8 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Profit before tax (PBT) also recorded a decline to Rs 12.3 crore from Rs 19.2 crore in the previous corresponding period. In the quarter ended September 30, 2007, BOC India’s revenue from gases and related products rose 7% to Rs 88.6 crore against Rs 83 crore in the year-ago period.
However, turnover in the project engineering division saw a decline to Rs 10.3 crore, against Rs 43.7 crore in the corresponding in the previous year.
